HOW CAN WE HELP YOU GAIN YOUR DRIVING INDEPENDENCE?

Our Certified Driver Rehab Specialists [CDRS][DRS] will meet with you, review your medical history, current medication list, complete a FL state-required comprehensive medical evaluation and discuss your driving goals.  If  you are  deemed fit to drive by our specialists, they will recommend equipment best suited for your needs and abilities. Our team will get you behind the wheel (BTW),  introducing adaptive controls, in a calm, safe environment.   

• The Initial Driving Evaluation can take up to 3 hours with documentation.

Driving Hours vary between individual drivers learning to drive with Adaptive Equipment

• New Drivers - with no on-the-road experience, using new adaptive driving equipment. The driving hours range from 15-30 hours.  

• Experienced Drivers -The average driving practice is between 3 and 10 hours

 Additional driving hours may be needed on a case-by-case basis.

Our goal is not to displace Aging Drivers, Drivers with Medical Conditions that inhibit driving, or drivers with Medical Review Board letters. 

We enable drivers to practice safe driving.

We make all attempts to keep drivers on the road even if it requires adaptive equipment, modifications, or driving limitations. 

Driving hours vary depending on the experience of the driver,  medical conditions, and need for adaptive equipment

 Driving practice hours have a large range between 3 and 15 hours.  The additional driving time may be needed.  This is determined on a case-by-case basis. 

NOTICE: We can not guarantee all drivers will be deemed fit to drive.  For your safety and those on the road around you, we may have to retire driving privileges.

A2D offers beginner driver behind-the-wheel training for drivers of all ages, abilities, and experiences.  Our certified instructors are calm, patient, and very easy to work with.  We teach the skills needed to safely drive on the road. Consider our instructors as an extended family with a dual driving and brake pedal.
