There's much to understand about adaptive driving. We have taken the process apart for easier navigation.
So, take your time, look around, and learn about the process.
Driving independence is a significant aspect of life, offering freedom and self-sufficiency. However, various medical conditions can impact this independence, particularly as people age. Conditions such as arthritis, vision and hearing impairments, and neurological disorders like Parkinson's disease or multiple sclerosis can affect driving abilities. It's essential for individuals and their healthcare providers to regularly evaluate driving fitness, especially when new symptoms or diagnoses arise, to ensure safety on the road for all.
Take a look at these videos from NHSTA on medical conditions and how they can affect your driving.

After the successful evaluation, our DRS schedule 1 on 1 training time with you in the Adapt 2 Drive vehicle.

We recommend if you are considering purchasing a new or used vehicle do so BEFORE the equipment is ordered.
Occasionally mobility dealers have used vehicles that were traded in for newer or larger vehicles. You can contact a dealer from our list that we have worked with. Let them know Adapt 2 Drive referred you.
Once the Mobility Company you chose installs your equipment, our DRS meet with you for a final training session. Typically 3 hours pending the vehicle is ready.
A team approach, the equipment to check if adjustments are needed before getting on the road.
You and our DRS will then drive your adaptive vehicle practicing the skills learned in training until you are comfortable.
Upon completion, you will get a letter to update your Drivers License with adaptive equipment.
Adaptive equipment modifications are added to vehicles to allow an individual with a physical disability to drive or ride in a Car, SUV, Van even Gulf Carts.
